Bekal Beach
Bekal Beach is at a distance of 2 km from Kovalam City in Kerala.
Bekal Beach is a small beach very near to Kovalam. It is famous for some
of the very beautiful views of the sunset. The beach will provide you an insight
into Kerala's coastal life. Bekal Beach is a fine example of amicable cultural
ties among the Portuguese, Dutch and the local Kings in the pre-colonial era.
The antiquity of the port can be made out from the ruins of some rock-cut temples.

The Bekal Beach is located near Bekal Fort ,
one of the best-kept forts in Kerala. Bekal fort is situated on a high rock and
spread over 35 acres and reaches into the Arabian Sea. The fort must be visited
to have a peek into the magnificent architecture of the fort. There are other
ruins of a few rock-cut temples worth visiting.
