DAY 01 ARRIVE COCHIN
Arrive at Cochin. You will be met on arrival and transferred
to Fort Cochin. Stay at Brunton Boatyard for 2 nights. Evening
enjoy a sunset cruise along the Cochin harbour to see the Chinese
fishing nets.
DAY 02 COCHIN
After breakfast enjoy a half day sightseeing tour of Cochin.
You could visit the local fish market and Chinese fishing net
in Fort Cochin. Also visit the St. Francis Church and the Santa
Cruz Basilica in Fort Cochin before proceeding to Mattanchery
to see the Jewish Synagogue and Dutch Palace. Take a stroll
around the Jew Street to hunt for antiques, spices and handloom
before proceeding back to the hotel.
Evening you could witness the Kathakali dance show the ancient
dance drama of Kerala.
DAY 03 COCHIN - PERIYAR
After breakfast drive to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, visiting
rubber and tea plantations enroute. Stay at Spice Village for
2 nights. Evening enjoy a local spice garden visit.
DAY 04 PERIYAR
Morning at leisure to explore the town. Late afternoon enjoy
a boat ride in Lake Periyar to see the wild elephants, sambar
deer, Malabar giant squirrels, Indian Bisons and variety of
species of birds.
DAY 05 PERIYAR - KUMARAKOM
After breakfast drive to Kumarakom. Stay at Coconut Lagoon
for 2 nights. Evening enjoy a one hour house sunset cruise on
vembanad Lake
DAY 06 KUMARAKOM
Full day at leisure.
(You have the option to stay overnight
in an air-conditioned houseboat instead of Coconut Lagoon)
DAY 07 KUMARAKOM - MARARIKULAM
Late morning drive to Mararikulam. Stay at Marari Beach Resort
for 2 nights.
DAY 08 MARARIKULAM
Full day at leisure to relax by the beach resort.
DAY 09 MARARIKULAM - COCHIN
In good time you will be transferred to Cochin International
Airport to board your return flight.
