The Meenkulam-the hook and cook is where you can get the fish of your choice from the pond and relish the taste of the freshly cooked fish in freshly ground spices. You will find other mouth watering delicacies of Kerala. In the vicinity of the swimming pool is the Madhusala. It is the elegant lounge where you can enjoy your drinks of fine wines and liquors.

To begin with, you can go on boating, canal and lake cruises, bird watching at the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary and trekking. A trip to the famous R Block is not to be missed. R Block spreads over 3000 acre of land, which was owned by the Murickan family once. This land is lower than the water just like in Holland. The water is prevented from flowing in by construction of dykes. Thanermukkam is another interesting place to visit.
