options for one's stay. Planter's Lodges (Paadi Rooms), Cottages and Deluxe Rooms
are the three kinds of options.
Vythiri is a resort exclusively devoted
to experience the magical beauties of nature. It offers well appointed furnished
rooms with all the modern amenities built in ethnic styles. The rooms are categorized
as :
# Paddi Room : The 6 adjoining
rooms having a veranda offers a stunning view of the lush surroundings and flowing
stream.
# Kudeeram Cottage :The 18
spacious cottages are facing the gurgling streams that run near it. One can view
the panoramic view of the streams and lush tropical forest from it.
#
Deluxe Room : There are 4 spacious stream-facing cottages are well-equipped
with modern amenities.
# Tree House :
Tree houses are the extra beauties of the resort. The houses are built above 100
feet of ground, a modernized form of the traditional huts, made from bamboos which
are a place from where the tribal communities track down the wild animals. There
are 2 kinds of tree houses 'A' and 'B'. One is 60 feet high while the other is
40 feet high. The tree house follows some rules and regulations like: |
* Smoking is not allowed * During monsoon leeches could be found * No
visitors are allowed to the tree house * Heavy luggage must be left at the
locker provided * Children below 12 are not allowed on the tree house
* Separate jeeps are provided for the tree house guests * Liquor is strictly
prohibited * Use of electricity should be minimal * No food is served
in the tree house
Restaurant - Thinna, the Vythiri restaurant,
offers exotic dishes in typical Kerala style cooking. Kerala cuisine is mildly
spicy with an aromatic coconut flavour. From the Malabar style Chicken curry to
the prawn fry in the Coastal style. A Mangalorean fish curry with fluffy Appams
succeded by the thick syrupy Payasam, the dessert would be welcome. Special requests
are considered on prior notice. However, one would be delighted to cater to the
special requests, on condition of prior notice at the time of booking.

Thinna, offering delicious are some yummy dishes of this resort. The Kerala meals
include white boiled rice with 'thoren', 'kalan', 'pachadi', 'olen' or 'avial'
as side dishes; 'sambhar' or 'moru' as 'ozhichu curries', and crispy, crunchy
'pappadam', etc. One can also have pulao, biriyani and pilaf also. |
