Ayurvedic Treatment
Ayurmana, the Ayurvedic treatment centre is a major attraction of Sarovaram. A dedicated and specialized panel of specialized Ayurvedic doctors, give personalized attention to each patient.
Dr. T. N. Yetheendran M. D, Ph. D (Ayurveda) also Retd. Deputy Director- Indian Systems of Medicine, Govt. of Kerala is the chief Consultant at Ayurmana. He is the first certified Panchakarma Specialist in Kerala.
Dr. A.G. Muraleedharan Nair, the chief promoter, is a renowned Ayurvedic doctor who hails from a family of generations of Ayurvedic experts and possess many years of experience in manufacture of medicines and in treatment.
Facilities
Constructed in traditional Kerala ‘Nalukettu’ style, the Ayurvedic treatment centre at the resort, offers a host of Ayurvedic packages. Special Ayurvedic treatment regime using herbal medicines forms the main package. It slows down wear and tear of body tissues by ensuring vigour with sound sleep and improve in memory.
The resort also has a well maintained herbal garden with over 200 medicinal plants that are essential ingredients in ayurvedic medicines.
In addition, qualified experts teach yoga and meditation to the guests. Yoga is a vital exercise evolved and followed by our ancestors to supplement a healthy body and mind. It relieves stress and helps one face life with ease and self-confidence. Various ‘Asanas’ are demonstrated and benefits explained in
detail during training.

Sarovaram Backwater Resort spans over 3 acres of herbal garden. Also it consists of 9 heritage cottages with television, air-conditioners, with a view of the Ashtamudi Lake and a Garden
Front. The cottages are constructed in an environment friendly manner with well-equipped modern amenities. Wide terraces facing the lake enable the visitors to enjoy nature to its fullest. The guests have the provision of choosing from a wide variety of Deluxe Special rooms, Deluxe A/C rooms and Deluxe Non A/C rooms.

Restaurant
Ootupura is the famous multi-cuisine restaurant built of bamboo and thatched roof. It serves ethnic Kerala food with onsite restaurant with most lip smacking and delicious Continental and Indian recipes. One has the priviledge of enjoying the freshly caught fish from Lake Ashtamudi cooked in traditional spicy dish. Dosas, Sambar, Vegetarian Thali, Chapattis, Lentil Dal and salad with coconut chutney add to the delight.
