as well as a curative power. Based on the holistic approach, Ayurveda forms a
natural healing system. The moist deciduous forests of Kerala are rich in herbs
and medicinal plants. All these facilities convert this state into the true home
for Ayurveda.
Comprising a part of the heritage of India, Ayurvedas
age old wisdom forms the best source of treatment. Rishis or ancient saints who
had researched on the have achieved their desired result. Ayurveda, meaning the
knowledge of life, had the great power to give life to an almost dead
person.
Ayurvedic philosophy believes in the existence of five natural
elements ether, fire, water, air and earth. While Tridosha consists of
water or kapha, air or vata and fire or pitta.
Tridosha
or the theory of the three elements which might result in deterioration of health
is there to correct the imbalances through Ayurveda. The two prime objectives
of Ayurveda includes:
1. Help required in order to maintain the good health.
2. Restoring the health of the sick visitors.
Thus Ayurvedic concept is
based on identifying the root cause of any kind of diseases. It is directed at
regaining good health by increasing the body resistance by eradicating the toxic
substances from the body. |
